How to get a TikTok transcript

TikTok shows captions on screen but gives you no way to copy them, and the auto-captions only exist for videos where the creator turned them on. This TikTok video to text tool works for any public video, with or without captions, in three steps:

2. Paste it and click Get Transcript

Paste the link into the box at the top of this page and click Get Transcript. If the video has native captions, they are used as-is. If it has none, which is the case for most TikToks, the audio is transcribed with AI speech recognition. Either way the result appears in a few seconds. Toggle Include timestamps to see when each line is spoken.

3. Copy or download the text

Click Copy to put the transcript on your clipboard, Download TXT for a plain-text file, or Download SRT for a subtitle file you can load into CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve or any video player. Use the search box to jump to a word or phrase inside a long transcript.
